The Trans-Siberian Lines are a collection of Railways serving the former soviet republics of north and central Asia. While they do not entirely encompass Siberia, and do not only serve siberia they retain their name from soviet endeavors.
Following the fall of the soviet union the Traditional Trans Siberian railway laid down by the Russian Tsars underwent massive development spearheaded by the Far east Republic of Ukraine, And the Alliance of Turkic Republics. The route originally heading into traditional russia, and through Russian influenced Omsk, and krasnoyarsk Siberia was remastered to serve all the considered friendly nations of the former soviet union. The Baikal Branch, and South Trans Siberian Branch were first to be built but it later expanded to cater to the sakha republic and the central asian nations. The majority of development was overseen by Polish and German contractors in the laying of the lines. With a great deal of the metal work into building it being produced in poland, in the silesia region. The Trans-Siberian Lines are attested to be the foundation of prosperity for Steel and Iron working in silesia.
World War IIEdit
With the outbreak of World war II work on the railways stopped as The silesian iron works were taken over by germany in the early years of the war. By 1942 however they had been recaptured and by 1945 were supplying the construction again.
When mexico defected to side with Poland and Britain in the later days after conflicts with japan the Former soviet republics used these lines as a way of supplying socialist mexico. However this was a prospect they were not very happy with as they had just been relieved of communist rule and the chances that Mexico may get greedy were high on the horizon. By 1944 Polish troops began to flood back into the republics to reinforce and prevent mexico from making any sort of move, the trans-siberian lines were key in moving them men fast enough in a journey that would have taken at least 6 months, but took only 3 weeks.
It is now the largest railway network in the world and one of the most modern as it serves to take goods from Poland(By a series of boats and interconnecting rail lines in caucasus region) in the west to the pacific sea board. However since the overthrow of azerbaijani government this now only caters to asia.
