The Philippines, officially know as the Republic of the Philippines, is a is a sovereign island country in Southeast Asia situated in the western Pacific Ocean.
After Spain won the Spanish-American War, Spain let the Philippines free, having that they had notice Philippines wanted independence not wanting another war to deal with then made a choice to make them independent. So on July 4, 1899, Spain let the Philippines have their independence. Soon after the independence, the First Republic is established and lasts for 10 years.
The Second Republic is established on December 9, 1925. But just 4 years later the Great Depression starts. But President Emilio Aguinaldo II helps the Philippines out of the Great Depression and starts prospering and getting ahead of nations in technology. During World War II, in 1939 the Japanese is ever so close to be invading the Philippines.But the Philippines are far more prepared than the Japanese thinking this is another of those weak Asian nations. When the Japanese invaded they failed their attempts miserably with 500,000 Japanese soldier deaths in 3 weeks and 100,000 Filipino soldier deaths in the same amount of time. The Japanese were take aback and left the Philippines alone until the end of the war. The Second Republic ended on January 8, 1946, and the Third Republic was established the same day but ended in 16 years with nothing major.
The Fourth Republic established on August 7, 1962. This was the time when the Philippines prospered with all the peace. But one young president, named Ferdinand Marcos at age 24 when he became president, established a dictatorship 3 years into his first term. after 24 years of dictatorship and martial law, the population of the Philippines couldn't take it anymore. The People's Power Revolution or EDSA Revolution last from July 1, 1986 to July 9, 1986 and finally Ferdinand Marcos was driven out and exiled to Hawaii. The Fifth Republic was established on July 10, 1986 with President Corazon Aquino with promise of prosperity. It was true what she said, Philippines began a second age of prosperity began. But after she wasn't re-elected and John Estrada was elected. Then corruption began until 2001. Then the EDSA II Revolution began from June 9 - June 11, 2001. John Estrada was driven out but not exiled. The republic lasted another 10 years until it ended. The Sixth Republic established on June 12, 2011 until present day. But since the Fourth Republic, the Philippines is behind in technology and is around the 2000s range still. On July 3, Present Year, President Aquino IV and Vice President Lawakan was assassinated while speaking at an assembly at a University in Manila. The suspects has been arrested but names would not be released.
The Philippines archipelago is located in the Western Pacific Ocean. There are several islands, with one main one containing Manila, the capital city. Manila is located in the Southern part of the main island. Manila International Airport is located in the Southern part of Manila.
The Republic of the Philippines calls Education a top priority for children to young adults. Grades K-12 is free for the entire population under the age of 21. But libraries will be built for older populations so everyone can have a chance to be educated somehow.
There are many hospitals around the Philippines, numbering up to 250 hospitals, majority being Public Hospitals with some Private Hospitals. This will ensure free-checkups, health, and care for the Philippine's population.
The Philippines religion has many, ranging from Christianity to Islam. But the Philippines main religion is Catholicism. We were a colony of Spain and the religion got stuck. So Philippines could be one of the only Catholic nations in Asia.
The Republic of the Philippines has many relations with other countries, some including The Republic of Hong Kong. Currently in a military alliance with the Shahdom of Iran and IndoChina. Also in trade agreement with Shahdom of Iran and Louisiana. Currently holds an embassy in NAR-AU. Currently under partnership in Economics, Defense, and Technology with Texas.
The Philippine's Military consists of a Army, Navy, and Air Force. The Army consists of about 1,200,000 soldiers. Navy has 10,000 ships and 1,000 sailors on each ship as standard number of crew. The Air Force has 12,390 airplanes and 13,000 trained airmen. Types of guns, ships, airplanes will be added later.
The economy of the Philippines are based on its trade and companies. Has an airline company which brings in 3 Million Philippine Pesos. In the process of starting a banking company and a phone company to help with the economy of the Philippines. Phili-Cola is a soft drinks company that merged with Sang Orange.
The transportation in the Philippines is moderate with each town having one public transportation bus. But around the Philippines there is jeepneys which are like public taxis, and are very common to see in the Philippines with about 1,200 countrywide.
