Political Divisions

Singapore is divided into five separate administrative divisions.

Political Parties

Singapore has seven main political parties. They are:

  • People's Action Party
  • Workers' Party
  • Singapore Democratic Party
  • Reform Party
  • Singapore People's Part
  • Singapore Democratic Alliance

Foreign Relations

Singapore has opened relations and trades with various countries. They are:

Some of these Trades could be cut off at a moment's notice.

Singapore does not have any Military Alliances but participates in Peacekeeping anyways.

Military

Singapore has a relatively small military, used to protect the interests, sovereignty and territorial integrety of Singapore from external threats. The military is run by the Singapore Armed Forces in three branches: the Singapore Army, the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and the Singapore Navy (RSN).

Infrastructure

Transportation

In Singapore, there are three major forms of transport. First, transport within Singapore is mainly land-based. Many parts of Singapore are accessible by road, including islands such as Sentosa and Jurong Island. The second, major form of transportation within Singapore is rail. The Mass Rapid Transit runs entirely through of Singapore, and the Light Rail Transit runs through a small neighborhoods. Third, the main island of Singapore is also connected to the other islands by ferry services.

Singapore is also linked to other countries worldwide. Singapore is a major center for transshipment ports, along with the Singapore Changi Airport being a major aviation hub in Southeast Asia.

Energy

Singapore's energy comes mainly from two renewable energy sources, wind turbine and solar energy.

Economy

Singapore is a highly developed trade-oriented market economy. Singapore's economy has been ranked as the most open in the world, least corrupt, most pro-business with low tax rates. Government-linked companies play a substantial role in Singapore's economy, which are owned through the sovereign wealth fund Temasek Holdings, holding the majority stakes in several of the nation's largest companies, such as Singapore Airlines, SingTel, ST Engineering and MediaCorp.

Exports, particularly in electronics, chemicals and services including the posture that Singapore is the regional hub for wealth management provide the main source of revenue for the economy, which allows it to purchase natural resources and raw goods which she lacks. Moreover, water is scarce in Singapore therefore water is defined as a precious resource in Singapore along with the scarcity of land. Singapore has limited arable land that has to rely on the agrotechnology park for agricultural production and consumption. Human Resource is another vital issue for the health of Singaporean economy.
