The Republic of Gran Colombia and Cuba is a country in South America south of Costa Rica, bordered to the east by Guyana and to the south by Brazil and Peru. It's situated between the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean via Caribbean Sea.
The country is a federal presidential republic with 4 states, Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba, Panama, the Antilles and the Bogota Federal District. The nation has a major diversified economy, a reputable military and a population of 104 million.
History[]
The RGCC's foundations were laid with Gran Colombia, a country founded after Spanish independence in 1821. It claimed the former Vice-royalty of New Granada, in addition to the Mosquito Coast.
The new country's beginning was difficult, owing to political infighting around how much power the federal government should have. A federal type of government was eventually chosen. However, occasional political skirmishes still occurred, but died out by the 1830's.
Gran Colombia used its large reserve of natural resources to build a strong economy and immediately begun the journey to industrialization. Gran Colombia went on to became a vibrant and prosperous nation by the 1860's.
Gran Colombia competed intensely with the US over Cuba and eventually acquired it in the 1890's. Cuba immediately became a valuable asset to Gran Colombia and an important state because of its variety of cash crops.
The economic troubles experienced by the Netherlands during the 1930's led to the Dutch West Indies being purchased by the RGCC in 1936 for $6 million.

Geography[]
The RGCC is a megadiverse country and the most ecologically diverse by square kilometer. It also contains a major strategic area, the Isthmus of Panama.
Climate[]
Despite being known as a tropical country, the RGCC has a variety of climatic zones owing to some of its extreme latitudes. The majority of the population lives in temperate areas, but there are also tropical, oceanic, and desert climates that exist.
Politics[]
The RGCC is a federal constitutional republic that consists of four states, Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, the Antilles, and Cuba. All of these states send their respective representatives to the legislature. The legislature is comprised of the upper house, the Senate, and the lower house, the Chamber of Representatives. These houses work together to form the RGCC's governmental policies.
Military[]
The military of the RGCC is responsible for guarding the country against foreign threats and keeping peace in the region. The military is split into 4 branches, the Army, the Navy, the Air Force, and the Militia. The RGCC's military is considered powerful within the region.
Foreign Relations[]
The RGCC has friendly relations with Madagascar, Scotland, and the majority of its neighbors in South America, the Caribbean, and Central America. The RGCC also has some level of diplomatic relations with the most of the world's nations.
Economy[]
The RGCC has a modern and diversified economy. The country's major exports include petroleum, emeralds, coffee, sugar, gold, agricultural products, coal, fruit, tobacco, citrus and electronic products. The RGCC's media is also often exported to other countries, especially Colombia's famous telenovela's.
Tourism is a major industry in the RGCC owing to its tropical locale and generally friendly climate, 15 million tourists enter the country per year.
