Build a Palace![]
Hi! To kick-start the new year, we're going to have a new contest - you have to build a castle, a palace, a manor or a mansion - which someone rich or within a monarchy might use as a leisure house. It's simple, and if you know what you're doing it's easy, and hopefully we'll recieve some good entries. Everyone can have a go!
What we're looking for: We're hoping to find lots of detail, style, colour theory and skill, but most importantly we want it to be unique. Maybe it might be small but has beautiful gardens? Maybe it's a grand granite building in the center of a city. You can also copy places from real life, such as Buckingham Palace.
How we're going to mark them: We will use a point system; For each entry, we will look at what's good and what isn't about it, and give it a mark out of ten. Once that is all done, the marks are added up. Whoever gets the most is first.
How long until the contest closes: You'll have thirty (32) days to make your palace, starting from Saturday the 5th of January, 2014 (5/1/2014 or 1/5/2014) and ending on on Wednesday 5th of February, 2014 (5/2/2014 or 2/5/2014). Once the contest closes, the Board of Directors (including myself) and the CEO, Djzman, will mark the entries. The winner will be announced a week later, Wednesday 12 of February, 2014 (12/2/2014 or 2/12/2014).
Why to take part and what the prizes are: You should take part simply because it's fun, gets you active and it tests what you can do compared to what you think you can do. Prizes are subject to change, but at the time of writing the prizes for winners are:
- 1st Place gets a promotion to Famous Minibuilders, their model put in the Hall of Fame (coming soon), the glory of winning and a nice little cash payment of R$200 if BC.
- 2nd Place gets a promotion to Project Minibuilders, their model put in the Hall of Fame (coming soon) and the glory of coming second.
- 3rd Place gets their model put in the Hall of Fame (coming soon) and the glory of knowing that they were better than 4th place.
How to take part: Put your submission into an active place and send the link to Impostor22, the current contest supervisor. All entries will be listed on this page, unless the contest has 3 or less entries; if that is the case, it is deemed a failure and scrapped.
